Sankofa Heart Symbol is a meditation on memory, love and return — the Akan Sankofa bird fused with a heart, rendered in burnished gold against a deep midnight navy ground. The bird's body curves back upon itself in the ancient gesture of looking to the past to move forward, its form merging with the heart to speak of ancestral love and the wisdom carried in return. Around it, Afrofuturist circuit glyphs, geometric symbols and dripping gold detail frame the central image like a sacred transmission from another time.

Part of the Afro Future Archive collection, Sankofa Heart Symbol draws on the Akan proverb ‘Se wo were fi na wosankofa a yenkyi’ — it is not wrong to go back for what you forgot. It is a print for those who understand that the future is built on the foundation of what came before: that ancestry is not nostalgia but navigation.
